The Franklin Cup 2007 Event Report
An amazing new event for the Northeast Robotics Club. The Franklin Institute and PACTS (Partnership for Achieving Careers in Technology & Science) teamed up with NERC to bring the excitement of combat robotics to Philadelphia. A brand new arena was constructed that would make David Blaine green with envy. Many great fights were witnessed and a dedicated crowd stuck it out to the very last fight. Overall, a great event that hopefully will be a permanent stop on the NERC schedule.

Motorama Robot Conflict 2007 Event Report
Not even ice covered Interstate Highways could stop this event from going down. Many braved the treacherous roads to once again do battle. This year NERC introduced the Sportsman Class which put emphasis back on weaponed bots. NERC was also proud to celebrate its 5th Anniversary with the Motorama Association and the biggest combat robotics event on the east coast....Robot Conflict. Here's to many more years to come.

To everyone that made this event possible...

My fellow NERCers who's hard work shined through again allowing this to be one of the best yet. I'll forget someone so I wont even try to list them all. We all know who you are and thank you!
Extra special thanks to the Benson Family for providing storage and transportation for the arena. We could not have done it without you.
Brad Hostetter and the Motorama Association for 5 years of inviting us to play .

Roy Hellen the hardest working man at the event, period. We can't imagine doing another Moto without you!
John Wolan, the man behind the curtain. The second hardest working man at the event, trapped inside the camera booth for 2 days without complaining.
All the competitors who stayed and helped with teardown.

Finally, thanks to the droves of people we know we are forgetting.
See you all at the next event.

We'd like to take this time to thank our sponsors for their very generous offerings. Please take the time to drop them a line and thank them and support them! They have no reason to give anything, yet they continue to support NERC year after year!!
